Registration will begin at 12:30 pm, and
hikers can begin their trek up the Tower Trail between 1:00 and 3:00
pm. Proceeds from the hike will benefit the Sleeping Giant
Build, and will support the current home-building project anticipated
to be on Gilbert Avenue in Hamden, CT. We ask that each hiker raise a
minimum of $15, which equates to one penny per foot of elevation on
the Tower Trail. Religious groups, businesses, and other organizations
are encouraged to form teams and walk as a group. Each team should
raise a minimum of $100. Checks are the preferred method of payment
and all pledges are due upon registration at the vent. Contributions
are tax deductible.
Individuals and
teams will be honored at an appreciation and awards ceremony at 3:15
pm in the picnic area. The picnic area will be open to the public all
day, and everyone is encouraged to bring their own food and
beverages.
