Build VII Clifton Street Dedication

The New Haven Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven’s Sleeping Giant Build is pleased to announce the dedication of its seventh home.

The dedication of 84 Clifton Street in New Haven was on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 3:00PM. The group’s latest build is now the home of partner family Angel Malave and Jahaira Reyes. The partner family successfully met the stringent requirements to become a Habitat homeowner. In addition, they completed 400 hours of sweat equity toward building the home.

Home tours were given during the dedication. Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven and Sleeping Giant Build representatives and the partner family were in attendance during the dedication to answer questions.

Sleeping Giant Build is a community-based organization that gains financial support from local businesses, religious and civic groups, to serve individuals and families in need of affordable housing in the Greater New Haven area. The organization assists in financing and building homes in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven.

Since 1986, the nonprofit organization Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven (an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International) has been providing decent, safe, and affordable housing for low-income residents in New Haven County promoting a healthy neighborhood environment for community residents.
